Lava is the molten rock expelled by a volcano during an eruption. The resulting rock after solidification and cooling is this semi precious stone used in art jewelry. 

Size: From hook to the end: almost 7cm (almost 3 inch).

A few years ago, it snowed early and hard, and it was wet, heavy snow. The leaves had just changed and were still on the trees. The color of the pear trees against the blinding white of the snow makes for a surreal winterscape. The vivid reds and greens would make this especially suited to a Christmas display. This photograph was printed last year for a trade show. It is in brand-new condition, but it is signed "amanda j 2009." (See Picture#2.) Print is 11"x14", printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Lustre paper, and mounted on foam board (foam core). This process gives the photograph a protective backing that makes it possible to frame without using glass.

My favorite thing about making fashion cards is working with colors and patterns. I have to admit I'm partial to these bright, cheerful shades of green.

It is a necklace and earring set made of beautiful agate and fluorite. For the necklace, I used Beadalon "7 strand" nylon coated beading wire, sterling silver plated crimp beads and sterling silver (925) rings and clasps as closing. The earrings are the same stones and are 100% sterling silver.

The earrings are about 1 inch (2.5 cm) long, not including the hooks and the necklace is 26.5 inches (67 cm)long. One has a loop endpin, the other a ball, I thought it would give it just a little extra character. If you would prefer them both the same, I can do that for you:)

I really love this necklace because if the combination of colours! The yellows, greys, greens and whites of the rough-cut agate go so nicely with the yellows, greens and purples of the fluorite diamonds. I bought the beads on separate occasions and was delighted to find them go together so well! A craftpersons best moments are these!

The spine has a yellow green Italian bookcloth spine. The address book has letter tabs on the right. Inside the pages are cream colored with brown type. The book measures 5" X 7." Perfect to slip in your purse!
